Assistant Store Manager, 70%

Øvre Slottsgate, Oslo

We're excited to announce that we are looking for a responsible and driven Assistant Store Manager to join our store at Øvre Slottsgate, Oslo, on a 70% position. This is a six-month temporary position, with the possibility of extension.

As Assistant Store Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the store and in creating an inspiring experience for both customers and colleagues. Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll help drive sales, maintain high store standards and support the team in delivering the level of service we want A Day's March to be known for.

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, leads by example and knows how to combine great customer service with a strong commercial mindset.

What you'll do

  • Take an active role in the daily operations of the store and step up with responsibility when the Store Manager is not present.
  • Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering warm, personal and knowledgeable customer service.
  • Help drive the store towards its sales targets and follow up on daily performance together with the Store Manager.
  • Support, motivate and guide the team throughout the day, helping create a positive and high-performing store environment.
  • Build lasting customer relationships through honest advice, product knowledge and personal service.
  • Ensure the store consistently meets our standards for visual merchandising, presentation and overall customer experience.
  • Take responsibility for daily routines including opening and closing, deliveries, replenishment, stock management and other operational tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, store routines and commercial performance.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager and wider retail team to ensure smooth communication and strong day-to-day operations.

Who you are

You have previous experience in retail, preferably in a role where you've taken additional responsibility for the store, team or daily operations. You enjoy being close to both customers and colleagues and are comfortable taking initiative and making decisions when needed.

  • Responsible, reliable and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Self-driven, proactive and solution-oriented.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys supporting and motivating others.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of sales and what drives a strong customer experience.
  • Passionate about personal style, quality clothing and our approach to retail.
  • Organised and comfortable prioritising and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who leads by example and contributes wherever needed.
  • Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

What we offer

At A Day's March, you'll become part of a close-knit team where ideas are welcomed, responsibility is encouraged and everyone contributes to moving the store and brand forward.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in retail and develop further within store management while remaining close to the customer and the daily life of the store.

We're a growing independent brand with stores in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo and London. We design, sell and ship our own products, allowing us to stay close to both our customers and our brand.

Employment: Part-time, 70%, six-month temporary position with possibility of extension
